{"id":27608,"date":"2011-01-06T09:05:19","date_gmt":"2011-01-06T14:05:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/?p=27608"},"modified":"2012-12-21T14:43:55","modified_gmt":"2012-12-21T19:43:55","slug":"kiplingers-rates-uconn-as-one-of-100-best-value","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/2011\/01\/kiplingers-rates-uconn-as-one-of-100-best-value\/","title":{"rendered":"Kiplinger&#8217;s Rates UConn as One of 100 &#8216;Best Value&#8217; Schools"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[yframe url=&#8217;http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=MEA98WHXgaY&#8217;]<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Kiplinger\u2019s Personal Finance<\/em> magazine has announced its list of the 100 public colleges and universities that offer the best value for a top-notch education, with the University of Connecticut coming in at number 32.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDespite rising tuition costs, there are still many first-rate institutions providing outstanding academics at an affordable price,\u201d said Janet Bodnar, editor of <em>Kiplinger\u2019s<\/em>. \u201cSchools like these on the Kiplinger 100 list prove graduates can enter the workforce with a great education \u2013 and without a huge cloud of debt.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The annual public school rankings appear in <em>Kiplinger\u2019s <\/em>February 2011 issue \u2013 on newsstands now \u2013 and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kiplinger.com\/tools\/colleges\">online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The magazine says that web visitors will find special interactive features, including a reader\u2019s choice poll, a slideshow of the top 10 schools, and data that can be sorted by criteria such as state, tuition cost, average debt, student\/faculty ratio, and admission rate.
