Although power is gradually being restored throughout Mansfield, here is a list of some resources available to students \u2013 and UConn employees \u2013 who still do not have power in their off-campus residence.<\/p>\n
Showers<\/strong> Food<\/strong> The Weekend<\/strong> Undergraduate students can contact the Office of Student Services and Advocacy if they are in need of an emergency loan (STELF Loan) at 860-486-3426. Graduate students can contact the Graduate Student Senate by visiting http:\/\/www.gss.uconn.edu\/elf.php<\/a> or stop by the GSS office in the Student Union, Room 213.<\/p>\n Additional Resources<\/strong> Cell phone and electronic charging stations can be found in the Student Union and across campus. Please do not leave electronic devices unattended while charging. \nStudents, faculty, and staff can shower in the Hawley Armory or in the Field House during the week and over the weekend. Monday through Friday, showers are available in Gampel Pavilion: there are two general locker rooms in Gampel on the lower level \u2013 Room 109 is for men and Room 103 is for women. Each has multiple showers. The building is unlocked Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Students looking to access the locker rooms should enter via the Natatorium Lobby entrance (located to the left of the Husky Dog statue), then take the large stairwell on the left down to the lower level of Gampel. The women\u2019s locker room is on the left and the men\u2019s is on the right. Please bring your own towels, soap, etc.<\/p>\n
\nUConn is working with the Town of Mansfield to support their efforts on behalf of town residents still affected by the loss of power. Food will be available at the Mansfield Community Center or E.O. Smith High School through the weekend. UConn is contributing enough food to feed roughly 200 people per meal.<\/p>\n
\nBecause power may continue to be out in areas of Mansfield through the weekend, the University is advising students who live off campus and do not have power to either return home for the long weekend or arrange to stay with friends who do have power. If this is not possible, students should be aware that UConn\u2019s dining halls on campus will remain open through the weekend.<\/p>\n
\nCharging Stations & Wi-Fi<\/em>
\nResidents of Mansfield also can log on to the town’s free wireless Internet Wi-Fi system located in the Community Center (you can bring your own laptop or use one of the public access computers).<\/p>\n
\nThe Town of Mansfield has set up two potable water stations for residents to fill their containers:<\/p>\n\n
