{"id":47127,"date":"2011-09-23T10:42:32","date_gmt":"2011-09-23T14:42:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/?p=47127"},"modified":"2011-09-27T10:48:03","modified_gmt":"2011-09-27T14:48:03","slug":"armed-robbery-claim-was-fabricated","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/2011\/09\/armed-robbery-claim-was-fabricated\/","title":{"rendered":"Armed Robbery Claim was Fabricated"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>UConn Police today announced that the report of an armed robbery in the Torrey Life Sciences Building on Sept. 21 was false, and that the student who made the complaint admitted to police that it never occurred.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring the investigation, discrepancies in the details provided by the alleged victim were revealed,\u201d said Capt. Hans Rhynhart of the UConn Police. \u201cIn an attempt to generate a composite image of the robber, the alleged victim was not able to provide information to investigators to create the composite.
