{"id":48175,"date":"2011-10-11T10:48:49","date_gmt":"2011-10-11T14:48:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/?p=48175"},"modified":"2011-10-13T10:33:20","modified_gmt":"2011-10-13T14:33:20","slug":"uconn-police-arrest-man-who-fabricated-robbery-claim","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/2011\/10\/uconn-police-arrest-man-who-fabricated-robbery-claim\/","title":{"rendered":"UConn Police Arrest Man Who Fabricated Robbery Claim"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The man who fabricated a report of an armed robbery in the Torrey Life Sciences Building on Sept. 21 was arrested by UConn Police on Oct. 7 and charged with falsely reporting an incident, breach of peace, and misuse of the emergency 911 system.<\/p>\n<p>Zohaib Ikram of Danbury called 911 at 10:15 p.m. on Sept. 21 and said he was working in a lab when someone entered holding a gun and demanded money.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring the investigation, discrepancies in the details provided by the caller were revealed,\u201d said Capt. Hans Rhynhart of the UConn Police in a press release. \u201cIn an attempt to generate a composite image of the robber, Ikram was not able to provide information to investigators to create the composite.
