Dannel P. Malloy.<\/p>\n<p>Malloy is expected to discuss how to increase the numbers of students in state medical and dental schools making generalist career choices and staying in Connecticut to practice. His <a href=\"http:\/\/biosciencect.uchc.edu\">Bioscience Connecticut<\/a> initiative includes a loan forgiveness program for medical and dental school graduates who pursue careers in primary care in the state.<\/p>\n<p>The theme of National Primary Care Week 2011 is \u201cInnovations in Primary Care.\u201d Details on the scheduled talks are available at <a href=\"http:\/\/publichealth.uconn.edu\/npcw.php\">http:\/\/publichealth.uconn.edu\/npcw.php<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Bruce E. Gould, associate dean for primary care at the <a href=\"http:\/\/medicine.uchc.edu\/\">UConn School of Medicine<\/a> and director of the <a href=\"http:\/\/ctahec.uchc.edu\/\">Connecticut Area Heath Education Center<\/a>, recently was interviewed about National Primary Care Week for a <a href=\"http:\/\/primarycareprogress.org\/blogs\/16\/86\">feature on the Primary Care Progress website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/publichealth.uconn.edu\/NPCW\/2011NPCWweeklongflyer.pdf\">health fairs<\/a> will take place in the greater Hartford, Willimantic and Hamden areas <strong>from<\/strong> <strong>1:30 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, October 19<\/strong>.
