The UConn Dance Company is just as accomplished performing techno hip-hop as it is with performing jazz or ballet or musical theater. At this year’s Fall Showcase on Dec. 6 at the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts, the group showed their impressive repertoire of dance steps, while also sharing center stage with other UConn performance groups.<\/p>\n

The 50-member Dance Company began as DanceWorks in 2008, and has since evolved into a larger group of talented dancers who perform at the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts at the end of each semester.<\/p>\n

Every aspect of the show is designed by members of the Company, including choreography, staging, music, and lighting.<\/p>\n
