This year\u2019s Health, Safety and Environment Fair, held the day before St. Patrick\u2019s Day, had a green theme, highlighted by collections of recyclable material and an option to switch to a residential electricity provider that uses renewable energy sources.<\/p>\n
Held in the UConn Health Center\u2019s Food Court, the fair also included blood pressure and cholesterol screenings, information about the state\u2019s Health Enhancement Program, a chance to sign up or recommit to the Just Move<\/a> fitness program, vendors, raffle prizes, a Jeopardy challenge game, a cat food drive, and new this year, a Bioscience Connecticut booth with an employee quiz.<\/p>\n Dr. Paul Skolnik<\/a>, Department of Medicine chair, and Dr. David McFadden<\/a>, Department of Surgery chair, hosted this year\u2019s opening ceremonies.
