UConn Cardiologists Uncover New Heart Attack Warning Sign
\n<\/strong>Aired on NBC Connecticut, March 1, 2012<\/em><\/p>\n

Dr. Bruce Liang<\/a>, director of the Calhoun Cardiology Center, and his team of researchers have identified a protein fragment that when detected in the blood can be a predictor of heart attack and heart failure. If successfully applied one day, the simple blood test could mean another way to diagnose and possibly treat heart problems.<\/p>\n
