The recent rainfall has partially restored stream-flow in the rivers near UConn\u2019s well-fields.<\/p>\n<p>However, stream-flows have not fully recovered to what is expected at this time of year and the campus remains in a Stage IB Water Supply Advisory, meaning that voluntary water conservation measures remain in effect.<\/p>\n<p>The University expects to remain in a period of water conservation until it is confident that stream-flows can be sustained.<\/p>\n<p>University officials are asking students, faculty, staff, and off-campus municipal, commercial, and residential users to be conscious of their daily water use and to continue to conserve water voluntarily in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take short showers. Turn off the water flow while soaping or shampooing.<\/li>\n<li>Use the appropriate water level or load size selection on the washing machine.<\/li>\n<li>Use water only as needed when washing dishes, shaving, and brushing teeth.
