{"id":6612,"date":"2009-10-30T15:40:23","date_gmt":"2009-10-30T19:40:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/?p=6612"},"modified":"2011-05-31T11:42:02","modified_gmt":"2011-05-31T15:42:02","slug":"healthy-environments-for-children-initiative-national-award-for-public-service-announcement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/2009\/10\/healthy-environments-for-children-initiative-national-award-for-public-service-announcement\/","title":{"rendered":"Healthy Environments for Children Initiative, National Award for Public Service Announcement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An animated public service announcement, \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=PxH7ksR0alU\">Henry and Fred Learn About Lead<\/a>,\u201d produced by the Healthy Environments for Children Initiative in the Department of Extension, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, has won second prize in a national video contest sponsored by the U.S. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.epa.gov\/oppt\/lead\/pubs\/videocontest.html\">Environmental Protection Agency<\/a>, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.<\/p>\n<p>The awards were announced at CDC\u2019s National Environmental Health Conference on Oct. 27, 2009, as part of the observance of National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week.
