She has received critical acclaim and is the recipient of many awards and honors.<\/p>\n<p>Carey earned her MFA degree in photography from SUNY Buffalo and is currently an associate professor of photography at the University of Hartford\u2019s art school. She lives and works in Hartford and New York.<\/p>\n<p><em>Plein air<\/em> painter <strong>John Dziadik<\/strong>is bringing to this exhibit his personal, never before exhibited artworks that he considers his favorites. He works to create a convincing depiction of reality through illusion and abstraction and to change one\u2019s perception of color. He is represented by on-line galleries that feature his various colorist-style artworks.<\/p>\n<p>The University of Connecticut Health Center\u2019s collection of fine arts serves to enhance the environment and promote the sense of a caring community for patients, visitors, staff and students. Art is selected, acquired and exhibited by the UCHC Art Advisory Committee.
