{"id":70435,"date":"2012-12-19T15:00:49","date_gmt":"2012-12-19T20:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/?p=70435"},"modified":"2012-12-20T09:59:11","modified_gmt":"2012-12-20T14:59:11","slug":"nicu-accepts-hundreds-of-donated-toys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/today.uconn.edu\/2012\/12\/nicu-accepts-hundreds-of-donated-toys\/","title":{"rendered":"NICU Accepts Hundreds of Donated Toys"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-bottom: 18px;\">[flickr-gallery id=&#8221;72157632290143650&#8243;]<\/div>\n<p>Hundreds of toys arrived Tuesday in the <a href=\"http:\/\/neonatal.uchc.edu\/\">Connecticut Children\u2019s Medical Center Neonatal Intensive Care Unit<\/a> at the UConn Health Center.<\/p>\n<p>They were delivered by state troopers with help from radio stations KC 101 and The River, which partnered with Connecticut State Police on their \u201cstuff a cruiser\u201d toy collection events throughout the state.<\/p>\n<p>It took several trips to haul dozens of giant bags of toys, games and stuffed animals in what has become an annual NICU tradition.
