Dr. Mariann Pappagallo and Marcia Anderson who donated 26 quilts to the NICU in remembrance of the Newtown school shooting victims. (Sarah Turker\/UConn Health Center Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Marcia Anderson and her husband, Robert, stopped by the Connecticut Children\u2019s Medical Center\u2019s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)<\/a> at the University of Connecticut Health Center last week to deliver quilts. Marcia, who has been making quilts for the past five years for the Health Center, recently made 26 in honor of the children and teachers whose lives were taken on December 14, in the Newtown school shooting.<\/p>\n

Each quilt has a unique pattern, purposefully done in honor of each child, teacher, principal, and counselor. All of them, however, are inked with Marcia\u2019s initials, along with a green heart showing her love and support for Sandy Hook Elementary.<\/p>\n
