A panel of five seniors judged the 2014 Senior Scoop contest yesterday, during the Senior Kickoff event in the Rome Ballroom.<\/p>\n

Jess Labowski, Ed Courchaine, Courtney Downs, Gabe Castro, and Kelly Chasse\u00a0\u2013 all from the Class of 2014\u00a0\u2013 taste-tested three different ice cream flavors:<\/p>\n

Chocolate, graham crackers, and marshmallow swirl
\nCoconut, almonds, and fudge swirl
\nCoffee, Oreos and fudge swirl<\/p>\n

The judges were joined by UConn Homecoming king Justis Lopez as emcee.<\/p>\n

After some delicious tasting and much deliberation, the judges chose coffee with Oreos and fudge swirl as the official 2014 Senior Scoop flavor.<\/p>\n

A naming contest for the new flavor will take place in late January.<\/p>\n
