Last year, on April 15, she finished the Marathon in 3:20, only a half an hour before the bombs placed near the finish line went off at 4:09. Thankfully, Cika came away unharmed, and she hopes this year&#8217;s race on April 21 will provide a memorable experience filled with pride and joy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UConn junior Kali Cika completed the 2013 Boston Marathon just half an hour before the bombs went off.
