(Stephen Slade &#8217;89 (SFA) for UConn)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The American Athletic Conference (AAC) recently announced that 180 University of Connecticut student-athletes have been named to the league\u2019s 2013-14 All-Academic team.<\/p>\n<p>UConn had student-athletes honored in each varsity sport sponsored by the AAC, led by 31 members of the women\u2019s rowing team. In addition, former UConn standout Julia Roth &#8217;14 (CLAS) of Weston, Conn., was named a winner of the 2013-14 Scholar-Athlete Sport Excellence Award for women\u2019s rowing.<\/p>\n<p>Other highly represented teams include 20 members of the women\u2019s swimming and diving team, 20 members of the men\u2019s track and field\/cross country team, 16 members of the women\u2019s soccer team, and 16 members of the women\u2019s track and field\/cross country team.<\/p>\n<p>Four members of UConn\u2019s national championship-winning men\u2019s basketball squad earned recognition, while five women\u2019s basketball players received laurels from the conference.
