The Huskies’ top-ranked women’s basketball team matched the 88-game winning streak of the 1971-1974 UCLA men’s team, beating Ohio State 81-50 on Sunday in the Maggie Dixon Classic held at Madison Square Garden. Junior Tiffany Hayes led the Huskies with 26 points and senior Maya Moore had 22 points before a crowd of 15,232, the second largest crowd for women’s basketball at MSG.  The women’s team can set the Division 1 record for consecutive wins Tuesday night at the XL Center against Florida State (EXPN2, 7 p.m.) Photo by Steve Slade
