Update: The Tasker Building re-opened Monday, Feb. 7, after snow was removed from its roof. All staff have returned to their customary work locations.
The Tasker Building on the Storrs campus, which houses the offices of Admissions and Events as well as several staff members from the Neag School of Education, is temporarily closed due to concerns about accumulated snow on its roof. UConn Public Safety and staff from the university’s Architectural and Engineering Services office are currently assessing the building.
In light of the heavy snowfall this winter and large amounts of snow and ice accumulating on some roofs, teams are in the process of assessing UConn buildings on all campuses and clearing the collected snow if necessary.
Staff members who usually work in Tasker have been temporarily relocated and can be reached via e-mail. Any updates will be provided as they become available.
