Henna tattoos were the body art of the day for Thankful It’s Thursday on July 21. The popular tattoos are an alternative to the permanent variety and are done using a paste made from the powdered leaves of the Henna plant. The dye in the plant binds with the keratin in the skin and can last several days to more than a month, gradually fading over time.
