The UConn Dance Company is just as accomplished performing techno hip-hop as it is with performing jazz or ballet or musical theater. At this year’s Fall Showcase on Dec. 6 at the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts, the group showed their impressive repertoire of dance steps, while also sharing center stage with other UConn performance groups.
The 50-member Dance Company began as DanceWorks in 2008, and has since evolved into a larger group of talented dancers who perform at the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts at the end of each semester.
Every aspect of the show is designed by members of the Company, including choreography, staging, music, and lighting.
