Connecticut Repertory Theatre Presents Odysseus D.O.A.

CRT presents the regional premiere of Stephen Svoboda's Odysseus D.O.A., starring Kim Zimmer as the mother of a young man dying from AIDS.

CRT’s production of Odysseus D.O.A. is the story of Elliot Hayes, a 30 year-old man who is dying from AIDS, a disease he contracted while an undergraduate at Columbia. Connecticut Repertory Theatre’s production of Odysseus D.O.A., starring Kim Zimmer, is being performed in the Nafe Katter Theatre in Storrs from Feb. 23 to March 4.

The regional premiere of Stephen Svoboda’s play takes audiences on a magical journey through the eyes of dying AIDS patient Elliot, played by John Bixler, who re-imagines The Odyssey as a place where the blind see, the sick love, and drag queens become goddesses.
