In a continuing effort to ensure the safety of our patients and staff as construction projects for Bioscience Connecticut continue, several changes will be implemented over the next few weeks.

The focus of the next phase is the lower campus. Construction is expected to begin in January for the new Ambulatory Care Center and parking garage. Both will be built on the current parking lot near the Medical Arts and Research Building (MARB).

Effective January 2, free valet parking will be available to all patients with appointments in the MARB and the Administrative Services Building (ASB), which now houses clinical research programs. The valet service will be provided by LAZ, between the hours of 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and cars will be parked in the L lot.

Also effective January 2, the ASB and parking lot will only be available to paying-parkers with appropriate hang-tags. For all others, an enhanced shuttle service will be available from the Cell and Genome Sciences Building.

We are aware that the parking situation since the beginning of the Bioscience Connecticut projects has inconvenienced many faculty, staff, students and visitors. We appreciate your patience and support as the construction continues. Please know that we are constantly exploring solutions to ensure the safety and satisfaction of the Health Center community and our guests.

Employees are encouraged to forward questions and comments to the Bioscience Connecticut email address at BioscienceCT@uchc.edu or to reach out to any of the Parking Advisors.
