Multiply Your Options is a daylong conference for 8th grade girls that exposes them to female role models in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). This year, UConn will host two separate conferences, each bringing in approximately 220 different girls from across the state.

In the morning, the girls will experience two hands-on workshops led by undergraduate engineering students. In the afternoon, they will attend two “Tools Clues” sessions, in which they will guess the job of various UConn Engineering alumni based on clues, such as tools used on the job, followed by speeches by and discussions with the alumni.

At the end of the day, the girls will leave with a smile on their faces, wonder in their hearts, and their minds open to possible careers in the STEM fields.

The second session of Multiple Your Options will take place on Thursday April 10, 2014.
