An update on our Engineering Alums from around the country.

David Barton '61 is challenging students to start giving back to UConn while still on campus.

PeterLinnPeter W. Linn (B.S. Chemical Engineering, ’86) has been appointed chief executive officer of AXA MATRIX Risk Consultants US Office with responsibility for all aspects and operating results of the company’s US and Canadian operations.  Based in NYC, Linn serves as a director on the AXA MATRIX and AXA Insurance boards.  He earned an Executive Leadership Graduate Certificate at Cornell University and expects to complete the M.Ed. degree requirements at Post University in 2017.

 

AGowerAdam Gower, P.E. (B.S. Mechanical Engineering, ‘08) has been promoted to commissioning project manager at BVH Integrated Services.  Gower joined BVH in 2012, working in the firm’s commissioning department since 2014.  In 2016, he earned his Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP) certification from the Building Commissioning Certification Board.

 

 

JToweyJim Towey (B.S. Chemical Engineering & Materials Engineering, ’84) has been named president of Onset Computer Corp.  Towey has been with the Massachusetts based company, best-known for its data loggers and monitoring products, since 2013, serving as director of engineering and, later, vice president of engineering.  He has more than 29 years of technology and business leadership experience.  Towey earned an MBA from UConn and M.S. in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
