Huskies Clinch Win Over Maine in Season-Opener

UConn's 37-yard field goal with 11 seconds to go sealed the 24-21 win over the Black Bears Thursday.

UConn redshirt senior kicker Bobby Puyol hit a 37-yard field goal with 11 seconds left to go to lead the Huskies to a 24-21 win over the Maine Black Bears before a crowd of more than 29,300 at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field. The game was the season-opener for both teams.

The Huskies scored the final 10 points of the game in the last 10 minutes of the game.
