You’ve probably heard stories about people who’ve lost a dramatic amount of weight, only to gain it back again along with their health problems. Well, we’ve got a different story to tell.  We introduced you to Melissa Dzierlatka more than a year ago.  Melissa had lost more than 160 pounds and was no longer borderline diabetic. She credited her turn-around to the Calhoun Cardiology Center’s Lifestyle Medicine Program at UConn Health.

We recently checked back in with Melissa to see how she was doing and whether she had succeeded in maintaining her weight loss and good health when so many others fail. Here is what she told us.
