Robert “Jaz” Jastremski freely admits he had terrible teeth. When he came to the prosthodontics program at UConn Health, he had nearly a dozen teeth with 50-year old caps, which had long outlasted their life. He needed a new smile and thanks to the latest computer technology, Jaz was able to see what his new set of teeth would look like before they were actually implanted. Dr. Avinash S. Bidra, program director and maxillofacial prosthodontist, says digital dentistry has helped make the process of replacing and repairing teeth safer and more precise. Watch the video to see Jaz’s transformation and learn how digital dentistry is revolutionizing patient care and dental education.
