When construction began on the University Tower four years ago, it served as one of the most visible projects of Bioscience Connecticut – a plan to make our state a worldwide destination for biomedical research and health care. At the tower’s topping off ceremony in September 2014, Gov. Malloy said, “The progress being made here is a brick-and-mortar example of what we can do when we pull together and make the tough decisions that will benefit our state over the long term.” Now nearly three years, thousands of jobs and satisfied patients later, the tower is celebrating its first anniversary.
