A steady procession of 75 trucks loaded with concrete began at 4 a.m. on Nov. 8, to pour the site of the swimming pool at UConn’s new Student Recreation Center. The effort required logistical coordination between multiple offices on campus. By noon, the pour was completed. The three-story, 191,000-square-foot center is slated to open in July 2019, and will include a 25-meter pool and a recreational pool.
