UConn Nation welcomed Dan Hurley as the new head coach of men’s basketball at an event Friday in the Werth Family Basketball Champions Center.

In his address, Hurley emphasized the Huskies’ proud tradition and promised to renew the the program’s championship culture. He described the current members of the team, whom he had met just prior to the event, as “a highly motivated group to get this program back to the level it deserves to be at.

“Between now and March of next year,” he said, “the sky’s the limit for that group.”
