The fall 2023 semester officially starts when classes reconvene on Monday, Aug. 28, at Storrs and the regional campuses in Hartford, Stamford, Avery Point, and Waterbury.

Each campus will be abuzz with activity for several days beforehand, though, as thousands of students move into residence halls in Storrs and Stamford, and as faculty and staff prepare for the new semester.

The Class of 2027 will be welcomed with a formal Convocation ceremony on Friday night, which will be held in Gampel Pavilion instead of its usual Student Union Mall home, due to the forecast. The Husky WOW (Week of Welcome) will continue throughout the weekend as the rest of UConn Nation moves in.

The photographers of University Communications captured the excitement and bustle of move-in day, as students and families raced against inclement weather forecasts to get the job done.

Welcome back, Huskies. We missed you.
