Awards
Devra Dang, clinical professor of pharmacy practice, has been awarded Campus Compact’s Thomas Ehrlich Civically Engaged Faculty Award. The award, presented in partnership with Brown University’s Swearer Center, recognizes senior faculty who practice exemplary engaged scholarship through teaching and research.
Michael Invernale, a senior licensing manager in Technology Commercialization Services, has been named a recipient of the Howard Bremer Scholarship, sponsored by the Association of University Technology Managers. The scholarship supports future generations of technology transfer professionals who demonstrate exemplary levels of creativity and innovation.
Zeljko Mirkovic, an associate research professor at the Werth Institute, won the “Best Sports Film” and “Best Biographical Documentary” at the New Cinema Festival at the Brazilian Film Academy award for his documentary “Niki Pilic-The Legend.”
Achievement
Tyler Morrissey, marketing specialist and project manager in University Communications, earned his Master’s of Business Administration from UConn, completing requirements in December. He earned his undergraduate degree in 2014.
