The podcast made its debut in 2018 and has won national awards along the way. It has a history of interviewing members of the University community from many different areas, including professors, administrators, coaches, alumni, and students. The original lineup of hosts was Kenneth Best, Julie (Stagis) Bartucca ’10 (BUS, CLAS), and Tom Breen ’00 (CLAS).

The first two episodes of the “new” podcast are now available. The podcast is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and other podcast platforms. It also has an X (formerly Twitter) account. A new podcast will debut every other Wednesday, with the next episode debuting on July 24 with professor of marine sciences Penny Vlahos.

The first guest was associate professor Victoria Ford Smith of the Department of English, who is an expert on classic children’s literature, Robert Louis Stevenson, and young adult literature. She talks about her research in these areas and also gives some tips on getting children to read, summer reading, and what she enjoys reading.

The second guest was head golf coach Dave Pezzino, who has been in charge of the Husky program for the past 17 years. He has elevated the program to the national scene and has led the Huskies to an appearance in the NCAA tournament and a Big East Championship. Pezzino talks about his program, what it’s like to be part of the overall culture in the Division of Athletics and his own coaching story.
