Hoff joins the faculty as a visiting professor, arriving from the College of St. Rose in Albany, New York, where he was a faculty member within the Thelma P. Lally School of Education. A licensed private practitioner, Hoff earned his doctorate in child/school psychology from New York University. His private practice includes mental health consultation with private and public schools, as well as extensive clinical work, and speaking engagements on the topic of self-injurious youth.

Hoff has experience developing a nationally accredited school psychology program and supervising students in clinical placements. He is a member of the National Association of School Psychologists and the Trainers of School Psychologists, among other state-level organizations. His areas of expertise include youth mental health, crisis intervention, and organizational consulting.

“Nothing brings me greater joy in my profession than working with committed, enthusiastic students who have chosen to join this noble profession,” Hoff says. “I am excited and honored to join the UConn team!”
