This October, UConn Engineers from across generations are invited to come home. 

The UConn College of Engineering will host Engineering All-Class Reunion Week from Oct. 3 – 8, 2026, bringing together alumni, students, faculty, donors, industry partners, and friends of the College for a week of connection, innovation, and Husky pride. 

Whether returning to campus for the first time in years or reconnecting with familiar faces, attendees will have opportunities throughout the week to network, celebrate, engage with students and faculty, and experience the exciting momentum of UConn Engineering today. 

With events ranging from a Homecoming tailgate and family STEM activities to conversations about leadership, creativity, and career connections, attendees can join the College for one event or make a week of it. 

“The strength of UConn Engineering has always been rooted in its people – those who came before us, those who are here today, and those who will lead us into the future,” says UConn College of Engineering Dean JC Zhao. “By coming together during Reunion Week and investing in our students, our alumni and friends help ensure that the next generation of UConn Engineers has the opportunities and support they need to make an impact.” 

Reunion Week begins Saturday, Oct. 3, with the UConn Engineering Homecoming Tailgate, bringing alumni, students, faculty, and friends together before the Homecoming football game. 

The pregame celebration offers a chance to reconnect with classmates and colleagues, meet other members of the UConn Engineering community, and start the week surrounded by Husky spirit and engineering pride before heading into the game. 

The celebration continues Sunday, Oct. 4, with the UConn Engineering STEM Family Field Day, an afternoon of discovery, creativity, and hands-on fun for the entire family. 

Through interactive exhibits and activities, guests will have opportunities to meet student innovators, explore engineering and technology, and introduce young learners to the possibilities of STEM. 

The event offers alumni a chance to share their connection to UConn Engineering with their families while experiencing some of the creativity and ingenuity of today’s students. 

On Tuesday, Oct. 6, the College will host the Inaugural Jeanine Armstrong Gouin Women in Leadership in Engineering Lectureship, celebrating leadership, innovation, and the impact of women in engineering. 

The inaugural event will bring together alumni, students, faculty, and industry leaders for an evening of conversation, networking, and community while recognizing the contributions and leadership of women across the engineering profession. 

The lectureship is part of the broader Jeanine Armstrong Gouin Initiative for Women in Leadership, which creates opportunities to support and develop the next generation of engineering leaders. Established through the generosity of UConn Engineering alumna Jeanine Armstrong Gouin ’87 (ENG), the initiative provides programming focused on leadership development, mentorship, professional growth, and building connections across the engineering community.  

On Wednesday, Oct. 7, Reunion Week continues with the Krenicki Arts & Engineering Event, exploring the intersection of engineering, technology, and the arts. 

The Krenicki Arts & Engineering Institute, a partnership between the UConn College of Engineering and the School of Fine Arts, brings together technical expertise and artistic creativity to inspire new approaches to innovation. Through interdisciplinary programs and experiences, the Institute encourages engineers, artists, designers, and creators to collaborate, approach complex challenges from new perspectives, and develop imaginative solutions.  

Attendees will discover how bringing creative and technical perspectives together can lead to new approaches to innovation, help solve complex challenges, and shape the future. 

The event reflects the increasingly interdisciplinary nature of engineering and provides another opportunity for members of the UConn community to connect around ideas that extend beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries. 

Reunion Week concludes Thursday, Oct. 8, with Engineers Getting Connected, one of the week’s signature opportunities for alumni and industry professionals to engage directly with current UConn Engineering students. 

Built around conversation, mentorship, and networking, Engineers Getting Connected gives alumni and industry professionals an opportunity to share their experiences and perspectives while helping students build relationships that can shape their academic and professional journeys. 

For students, it is a chance to learn from those who have already navigated careers in engineering and related fields. For alumni and industry participants, it is an opportunity to give back, expand their own networks, and help inspire the next generation of UConn Engineers. 

Alumni can also commemorate Reunion Week with an exclusive UConn Engineering Alumni Day T-shirt. 

Whether returning to campus after decades away or staying closely connected to the College, the shirt offers alumni another way to celebrate their place in the UConn Engineering community. 

“Our alumni are such an important part of the UConn Engineering community, and Reunion Week is really about creating opportunities to bring that community back together,” says Shannon Nichols, Associate Director of Development and Alumni Relations, Engineering, for the UConn Foundation. “We hope alumni will come back to reconnect with old friends, build new relationships, and see firsthand how UConn Engineering continues to grow and evolve.” 

Reunion Week is also an opportunity for alumni and friends to help create meaningful experiences for the next generation of UConn Engineers. Throughout the week, attendees are encouraged to consider supporting the Engineering Scholarship Fund, which helps expand access to a UConn education and provides students with opportunities to learn, innovate, and prepare for their future careers. 

From reconnecting with former classmates to meeting today’s students and faculty, Engineering All-Class Reunion Week celebrates the people, experiences, and connections that make the UConn Engineering community special. 

Alumni are encouraged to invite their classmates, bring their families, and return to UConn for one event or the entire week.
