Unlike Any Other Place
As we approach the final weeks of 2017, the School of Business is growing, thriving and delivering its best to our students, wherever they may be.
Excitement has been at fever pitch in the last few months. We have celebrated phenomenal growth in our campuses, our programs and our student enrollment.
In Hartford, we celebrated the opening of a beautiful new campus, anchored by the former Hartford Times building on Prospect Street, and the expansion of our Graduate Business Learning Center down the street at 100 Constitution Plaza. Combined, some 3,100 students are bringing new energy to downtown Hartford.
In Stamford, the addition of a long-anticipated residence hall has converted our campus from a commuter mecca to a residential campus, with all the advantages that can offer. Students are excited to live only blocks from some of the state’s most prominent global companies.
These combined changes have led to a surge in student interest in UConn, to which we’ve responded by offering enhanced courses and additional majors at our regional campuses. Interest in business degrees there is robust.
The School of Business and the university are in the midst of a bold and pivotal educational journey. Indeed, this is a place like no other!
We hope you enjoy the 2017 Dean’s Report, which addresses this growth in greater detail.
