The Class of 2022 medical and dental students presented the following faculty awards:
Dr. Easwar Natarajan, UConn School of Dental Medicine, received the Charles N. Loeser Award in recognition of his ability to evoke enthusiasm for learning, a desire to emulate his own attributes of scholarly curiosity, and give wholeheartedly of himself to advance the welfare and education of his students.
The basic medical science faculty for Case Oriented Essential Block B (COrE B) received the Committee Award for Meritorious Educational Leadership (C.A.M.E.L. Award) in recognition of the group’s promotion of a stimulating learning experience and presentation of material and overall level of teaching, affording students an opportunity to learn and understand the basic medical sciences.
Additionally, in recognition of 20 years of outstanding contributions and dedication to teaching in the Student Continuity Program/Clinical Longitudinal Immersion in the Community Program, the following community faculty received the Distinguished Service Award from the UConn School of Medicine:
