In Memoriam

Emory Braswell, 89, an emeritus professor of molecular and cell biology, of Storrs, Conn. Braswell started his career at UConn in 1962 in the Department of Chemistry. In 1967 he transferred to the biochemistry and biophysics section of the biological sciences group. He became director of the undergraduate biophysics degree program in 1993. From 1986 until he retired in 2002, Braswell served as head of the National Analytical Ultracentrifugation Facility at UConn.

Stewart Falk, 91, of  Farmington, Conn., a former assistant clinical professor at the School of Medicine, on Oct. 28.

Rita Gonzalez, of Ocala, Fla., a UConn retiree, on Sept. 3.

Kent Healy, 89, of West Tisbury, Mass., a retired civil engineering professor, on Oct. 31.

Martha Lepow, 94, of Slingerlands, N.Y., a former professor of pediatrics at the School of Medicine, on Oct. 17.

William O’Meara, 92, of Old Lyme, Conn., who had a professional appointment at the School of Dentistry, on Oct. 18.

Lenny Todd, 97, of Storrs, Conn., a retired maintenance worker, on Oct. 19.

Marilyn Tripp, 71, of Newington, Conn., who worked at UConn Health for more than a decade.
