In Memoriam

David Edens, 94, a former associate professor of economics, on June 20.

Mary Dean Lindsay, 96, of Storrs, Conn., who worked at UConn from 1957 to 1989 before retiring, on June 17. She had administrative roles in the Department of Plant Sciences, the School of Business and the Alumni Association.

Alta Lash, 75, a former instructor on community organizing at te School of Social Work, on June 16.

Karl Nieforth, 85, of Mansfield Center, Conn., emeritus professor and emeritus dean of the UConn School of Pharmacy, on June 18. He served as  the Dean of the School of Pharmacy from 1981-93.

Lincoln Phillips (pictured on front page), 57, of Willimantic, Conn., a member of the Parking Services team for the past 22 years, on June 19. He was also a former employee of the UConn Co-Op.

Joseph Racicot, 89, of Tolland, Conn., a retired pharmacist at the infirmary, on June 12.

Deborah Schaffhauser, 67, of Storrs, Conn., who worked in the Office of the Registrar for over 40 years before retiring in 2013, on June 14.
