After earning her Pharm.D. from the UConn School of Pharmacy in 2014 and completing residencies at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System and The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Christina Polomoff returned to UConn in 2016 as a faculty member and population health clinical pharmacist at Hartford HealthCare, where she focuses on quality improvement and medication management for older adults.
At UConn, Polomoff teaches in public health and healthcare policy and helps students develop leadership skills through the School’s Leaders Track. She also advises the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) student chapter, which has earned multiple top national finishes in the P&T Competition under her mentorship.
Polomoff’s work to advance medication safety and optimize care for older adults aligns closely with ASCP’s mission. Her involvement with ASCP began as a student and has grown through roles including ASCP-Connecticut Chapter President, Co-Chair of the Medication Safety and Transitions of Care Committee, and Chair of the Member and Volunteer Experience Committee. Elected to the ASCP Board of Directors in 2022, she serves on the Finance and Executive Committees and was recognized with ASCP’s Next Gen-Rx Award in 2024.

“ASCP has been my professional home since I was a student,” Polomoff says. “It’s where I found mentors, lifelong friends, and a shared passion for caring for older adults. I want to give back by ensuring every member – no matter their practice setting – feels heard, valued, and connected to the same sense of purpose that shaped my own career.
As President of the Connecticut Pharmacists Association, Polomoff has worked alongside colleagues and state partners on advocacy initiatives, including Connecticut’s 2022 Collaborative Drug Therapy bill. If elected ASCP President, she plans to bridge state and national priorities, strengthen member engagement, and advance fair reimbursement for pharmacists in all care settings.
“Community is the heart of ASCP,” she adds. “Our members do incredible work caring for older adults. I want to make sure they know their efforts matter – because engaged, appreciated members are the ones who drive lasting change.”
Voting for ASCP President-Elect will take place October 12–25, 2025.
