UConn was well represented at the American Academy of Nursing Fellows Induction Ceremony on October 18, with every Connecticut inductee having an affiliation with the university.
Elisabeth DeLuca School of Nursing faculty Mallory Perry-Eaddy, PhD, RN, CCRN, FAAN; Tiffany Kelley, PhD, MBA, RN, NI-BC, FNAP, FAAN; and Gee Su Yang, PhD, RN, FAAN, were inducted as 2025 Fellows. Alongside them were alumni Judith Hahn, PhD ’14; Barbara Jacobs, PhD ’02; Wendy Lord, BS ’94; Lisa Sundean, PhD ’17; and Amy D’Agata, MS ’04, PhD ’15.
The inductees were recognized at the Academy’s annual Health Policy Conference in Washington, D.C. This year’s conference theme was “Impact Through Integrity and Trust: Our Role as Navigators and Translators,” which focused on shaping the future of healthcare and fulfilling the Academy’s vision of “Healthy Lives for All People.”
The conference featured symposiums, presentations, workshops, exhibits, and poster sessions over the span of four days. The event concluded with an induction ceremony celebrating the 2025 Fellows.
This year’s Fellows represent 42 states, the District of Columbia, and 12 countries. Their extensive expertise will enrich the thought leadership of the more than 3,200 Academy Fellows who collectively advance the Academy’s mission of improving health and achieving health equity by impacting policy through nursing leadership, innovation, and science.

The Academy was established in 1973 to recognize extraordinary nurses and provide leadership within the profession. Its vision is to challenge, explore, and innovate ideas in nursing and adjacent fields.
Fellows are selected through a rigorous nomination process based on their contributions to improving health locally and globally. Once inducted, Fellows earn the FAAN credential—the most prestigious recognition in nursing.
