UConn Health Center employees, students and volunteers gathered for some fun-filled festivities at the First Annual Fall Festival to celebrate the season Thursday. Human Resources, through Know Better Place, organized the autumnal event. Activities took place outdoors in the courtyard and included games like ring toss, table tennis, and whack-a-mole. Participants sampled traditional fall food fare such as apple fritters, crisp apple cider and donuts.

Departments and individuals also had the chance to show off their competitive side at the Pumpkin Paloozza. There were 11 impressive entries on display and festival participants voted on their favorites.

And the winners are:

• First Place: The M&M’s, Oral Health and Diagnostic Sciences
• Second Place: The Patient, OR
• Third Place: Cinderella’s Carriage, Dental Clinic #5
• Honorable Mentions: The Construction, Facilities and The Spooky Spider, Department of Surgery – Dowling South
