Health Center Nurses Receive Nightingale Awards

Ten nurses are recognized for their significant impact on patient care and their life-long commitment to the profession.

Ellen Leone, chief nursing officer and Connie Weiskopf, director of nursing and patient care services for Correctional Managed Health Care, made the following announcement.

The Department of Nursing is proud to announce the 2012 Nightingale Nurse Awards for Excellence in Nursing recipients. These individuals were nominated by their peers in recognition of their significant impact on patient care and their life-long commitment to the profession. They truly represent the highest caliber of caregivers and reflect the achievements of the entire nursing staff.

The UConn Health Center is extremely proud of the award recipients. They will be honored at a regional awards event on Thursday, May 10, at the Hartford Marriott Downtown.
