Many UConn students are eligible to vote, and for most it is their first time voting in a presidential election. Students who used their UConn address to register were able to vote at the Mansfield Community Center. Special buses, organized by UCPEA and also supported by the AAUP UConn Chapter and the Graduate Employee Union, left the Student Union every hour to take students to the polling station, and others used the regular University bus lines or walked.
