
George Sugai, professor of special education and director of the Center for Behavioral Education & Research in the Neag School of Education, spoke at the Connecticut Summit on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), an initiative to prevent bullying in schools through positive intervention strategies. The summit, held on campus on May 19, provided Connecticut school leaders, policy makers, and educators with an overview of national PBIS efforts as well as ideas for implementing the model in Connecticut schools.
