Chemical Engineering student Hollin Abraham prides herself in being able to maintain a well-balanced life. Her heavy courseload includes conducting a variety of research under several different lab settings. She brings her science skills home when she engages in one of her favorite hobbies, brewing beer. Hollin’s father brewed while she was a kid, and Hollin was excited to pick up the hobby when she turned 21. In addition, Hollin enjoys rock climbing and recently placed at UConn’s Rock Climbing competition. Her research and studies surely challenge Hollin mentally, and rock climbing is a great way to exercise her physical strength. This senior serves as a role model for young engineers, particular women, who seek to challenge the stereotypical role of a scientist.
