banquet1 (104K)The evening brings together industrial sponsors and UConn School of Engineering alumni, friends, faculty and outstanding student scholars. A highlight of the evening is the induction of new members into the University’s Academy of Distinguished Engineers. Academy members are exceptional alumni selected from a pool of outstanding nominees. Top students also will be lauded with merit scholarships. In 2007, the School of Engineering awarded more than $550,000 in academic merit scholarships to continuing students and offered another $800,000 to students admitted to the School for the fall term. The scholarships are made possible through the generosity of corporate friends and alumni.
