The School of Engineering is pleased to announce, for the second consecutive year, the D.E. Crow Innovation Prize competition aimed at encouraging and rewarding creative ideas and entrepreneurship by UConn students. This “innovation stimulus” program is made possible through the generous support of Dr. David E. Crow, professor emeritus of Mechanical Engineering (ME).
UConn engineering students are invited to compete for a prize pool totaling $20,000. Of the total, $10,000 in prize money will be available for winning teams that include at least one ME student, and $10,000 in prize dollars money will awarded to winning teams that do not include at least one ME student.
The contest terms are detailed here.
Interested teams must submit a letter of intent summarizing the concept for the invention/innovation and listing all team members and their affiliations by 5:00 p.m. on February 14, 2012.
