Continuing & Distance Engineering Education Expanded

The School of Engineering is proud to announce the formation of a new unit called, Continuing and Distance Engineering Education (CDEE). This unit will be responsible for the existing Master of Engineering program, which is currently offered in Groton, East Hartford, Windsor Locks and Farmington, and for continuing engineering education activities and programs at UConn's regional campuses and corporate partners' sites.

Pictures from Graduation The School of Engineering is proud to announce the formation of a new unit called, Continuing and Distance Engineering Education (CDEE).  This unit will be responsible for the existing Master of Engineering program, which is currently offered in Groton, East Hartford, Windsor Locks and Farmington, and for continuing engineering education activities and programs at UConn’s regional campuses and corporate partners’ sites.

A branch of this unit will provide customized training and development programs to companies in Connecticut and neighboring states. In addition, the CDEE program offers Advanced Engineering Certificates, graduate and continuing educations courses and seminars.

The CDEE program is directed by Afshin Ghiaei, former Director of the UConn School of Business in Hartford, CT, spanning the Graduate Business Learning Center and including the MBA and Executive MBA (EMBA) programs.  In addition to an MBA from UConn, Afshin holds a B.A. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
