Do you know an exceptional UConn engineering alumnus or alumna, or an indispensable School of Engineering friend who deserves special recognition?

Each year, the School of Engineering celebrates a number of distinguished alumni whose career achievements are exceptional in nature, and dedicated non-alumni who have made dramatic and enduring contributions to our School. Please nominate someone who deserves to be recognized! (View photos from the 2013 Academy induction ceremonies here.)

Those selected will be honored formally in the spring and inducted into the Academy of Distinguished Engineers. In addition to receiving their awards, each honoree will present a seminar or participate in a panel discussion open to all engineering faculty, staff, undergraduate and graduate students. 

Self-nominations are also welcome.

To nominate a candidate, please:

• Send a brief e-mail to soeaward@engr.uconn.edu by Friday, October 11, 2013 indicating your intent to nominate or self-nominate, along with the name(s) of your nominee(s).
• Complete the nomination form and submit it, along with any additional material such as a resume, by e-mail to soeaward@engr.uconn.edu.

All nominations must be received no later than Friday, November 1, 2013.
